alexandros Alexandros Papageorgiou is a Social Anthropologist. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus, he continued his studies at an undergraduate and postgraduate level in Social Sciences at the University Paris 5 - René Descartes. He obtained his second master’s degree in Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly, where he is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate. His research focuses on knowledge transfer processes in collaborative networks.

Through his training and experience Papageorgiou contributes to NetHood’s work on participatory design with ‘thick’ ethnographic accounts that foster self-reflexion. In the context of his collaboration with NetHood, he has contributed to the netCommons and the Heteropolitics Horizon 2020 projects and has become a COST Action member. In past research he has studied processes of acculturation through bodily practices, as well as the role of social media in the 2013 Brazilian uprising. Papageorgiou has also worked as a translator. He speaks greek, english, french, german, italian, portuguese and spanish.
